As a creative person when you're working with text ,you want to use fonts that really complement and fit the vibe of whatever project you're working on and it's pretty great to work with fonts that are free for commercial use and free, so in this video, I'm going to share with you my favorite and my most used fonts for commercials corporate videos lower third titles title slides for weddings and a couple more and coming up on our channel we're going to be sharing creative editing techniques to make your videos stand out so if that's something you're interested in subscribe to stay in the loop.
Let's first look at one of my top go-to fonts which is league gothic league gothic is an awesome font that's simple and modern i also like that this is a taller font because with the word Canada, for example, yeah this word is taking up space horizontally across the screen but i like that it also takes up a little bit more space than with most fonts vertically i also love the font impact for my travel videos again in all caps and what i really like about this font is that it's a thicker font so if you want to have your video show inside your text like this you get more real estate visually with how much of your clip you can see within the letters and on the side note if you want to learn how to put video inside text like this check out our how to quickly put footage inside text and Premiere Pro tutorial.
I'll link it in the description below next let's talk about wedding videos i really like font that's a little bit fancier but not so structured and perfect i love this brighton font back in the day when i used to edit wedding videos i found a lot of couples would choose this style font for their invitations so i figured if you like it for your wedding invitations you will very likely like it in your wedding film modern sands is a really nice simple font. I use it for title slides i've used it with the lower third titles it looks beautiful in capital letters as well as lowercase letters so i definitely recommend if you're only going to download a few of these fonts you download this one next for vlogs or travel videos i really like this compact regular font it only comes in capital letters but look how good that looks it has that sort of like holistic-y naturey vibe to it this eva font's pretty cool as well it's one of those fonts that looks really nice if you're doing like a coffee shop commercial it too comes just in capital letters, but i find looks pretty good in capital letters so hey not complaining.
Next, we have this socium free font when you have an edit you can kind of do some cool stuff with this is the font that you want to at least try out and you'll notice i put a glow around this font it doesn't come with the glow if you want me to teach you how to create that glow look then let me know in the comments below and i just released a video teaching how to make your font gradient like this so i'll link that video below for slides or situations where there are a lot of words on screen and you might need fonts to be legible in smaller sizes. This Oito font is awesome i would describe it as modern with a fun personality and for lower third titles i love using the font rock grotesque because it comes in many different weight options and since lower third titles usually include the person on screen's name on the top line then their job position or brand underneath it looks nice to have one line of text be a little bit thinner and the next line the text be a little bit bolder like in my example and rock grotesque is actually an adobe font.
