Fix BAD AUDIO With AI For FREE - Amazing AI Tool For Content Creators!
Welcome back to another video. In this one, I'm going to show you a very quick way to drastically improve the sound of any dialogue that you record to make your voice sound better. It's done through AI, and it's a relatively new option that you can use. Currently, it's completely free. I wanted to tell you guys about it, and hopefully, it helps you.
If you want to know all of the equipment or products that we use to make our videos or where we get our music from, all links are in the description. So let's jump in. I'll show you how to use the new tool from Adobe.
So the first step is to go to podcast.adobe.com, and then here, you're going to want to make an account and log in if you haven't already logged in. Then you can scroll down, and there's an option here where it says AI-powered audio. You can try it out. So let's click on "try it out."
Right now, this is where you can do the noise enhancement. However, in the future, I assume it'll be built right into Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe Audition. So before you can upload any files, you have to make sure that it is only in the .wav or .mp3 format. In other words, you can't upload videos. You do need to take the extra step of extracting the audio from any videos you have. So that's pretty straightforward, though. You go into your editor, you select your in and out, even if it has video. You send it to the export queue, and then from here, you can just choose the format of waveform audio or you can choose MP3. From there, give it a name, export it, and then that will be the file that you can upload on the Adobe website.
So let's click on upload. We'll click on our bad audio. Let's go to open, and then it's going to do its thing and try to enhance the speech. Depending on the length of the audio that you uploaded, it might take up to about 10 minutes. But since this is like only a 30-second take, it probably will take less than a minute. And as it says over here, the idea is speech enhancement makes voice recordings sound as if they were recorded in a professional studio. So it's done. Then let's hit download. It automatically named it enhanced. We'll hit save.
Here's an editing project that I worked on. When I got to the editing room, I realized that I probably should have had the mic closer to me or I should have been wearing like a wireless mic because the audio wasn't that great. And I remember that the Adobe podcast enhanced audio was some sort of newly released beta version that I could try and test out. I thought I might as well try. I didn't think it would do all that good of a job. However, the results were pretty impressive.
Now I should note that I have uploaded files and it did not produce good audio in some cases. But in this case, I think it did produce a better job. If your source audio or your original audio is somewhat okay, then I think it will do a decent job in enhancing the audio. However, if your source audio is absolutely ridiculously bad, chances are it cannot make something out of, you know, nothing. So just keep that in mind. But in this case, the audio I had was decent. The original, I'll show it to you in a second. It was just a little bit echoey because the mic was too far away.
So let's go ahead and listen to the original, which is down here. We're using just a desktop, some items on the desk, and a very small item, which is going to be an SD card. Okay. And then let's listen to the corrected audio that the Adobe podcast website did. We're using just a desktop, some items on the desk, and a very small item, which is going to be an SD card.
So right off the bat, the audio sounds a lot crispier, like the mic was a lot closer to me when I was recording this video. That's essentially the difference between good and bad audio. Typically, the best audio would be recorded when the mic is closer to your mouth. That would eliminate background noise and also a lot of the reverb or the echo in a room. So yeah, I think it did a pretty good job, and I just wanted to show you guys that this is an option that you can try if you have terrible audio and are trying to, in some way, salvage it.
I have been on so many shoots in the past where someone recorded audio poorly or, you know, I made a mistake. This would have been such a helpful tool back then. However, it didn't exist. But lucky for you, it does exist now, and this is something you can take advantage of. I'm not sure if they're going to make this part of the paid suite in the future, but for now, I believe it's free. I hope this video was helpful in solving a potential problem that you may have. Alright, that's it for this video. If you liked it, give it a thumbs up and subscribe to see more videos from us in the future. We have over 200 videography-related videos for you to learn from.
