How to Remove PIMPLES, ZITS and BLEMISHES FAST in DaVinci Resolve - In this DaVinci Resolve tutorial Alli shows you how to easily remove pimples, zits, acne and blemishes to make skin look smoother and better!

I'm going to show you a very simple way to reduce and maybe even completely hide pimples into Vinci resolve. Let's hop in there and check it out.

We're in Resolve's color page, and let's zoom in and get just up close and personal with this temple. We're going to make a mask around it by opening our power window panel. I'll choose the pen tool to draw a custom mask shape. Open the track panel. I tend to keep all of these just check marked as is, and we're going to look at frame in a sec, but for starters, we want to have clips selected.

So we can auto-track our entire clip. I feel like because this zit's in a weird side angle, which you may also be dealing with, it might not auto-track perfectly. And if it doesn't, I have another option that I'll show you.

Since my playhead isn't at the very beginning or very end, let's choose track back and forth. If Resolve's auto-tracking and then it stops midway like this, then you can just click on one of these again. This time I will choose track reverse, which will continue to track backwards. And if you think your track went wonky at any point, you can confirm that by scrubbing through and yep, the mask looks like it's not completely over the pimple here.

So now let's pop over to frame, which allows us to manually track. At this point in the clip, I'm going to drag our mask over the pimple a bit more, and when you do, a keyframe will hold that position in place. You can continue to scrub through and adjust specific frames where your mask wanders off. When you're happy with the tracking, click on effects if it's not already open. Search blur. I like Gaussian blur. And if you like it too, why not star it? So it's easy to find by just going up to these three little dots here, choosing favorites, and look at that.

Okay, so drag Gaussian blur onto your node. I'll turn this off for a sec and check this out. Before, after, before, after. If you want to adjust the intensity, use these sliders. And if you think the edges of your mask are too sharp or abrupt in the power windows tab, you can also adjust the softness of your mask. But if you push it too much, it'll start to show you again. I actually prefer just going to turn this back on, so I like to choose outside, so the softening happens well outside of the mask.

Okay, let's check this out. So that did a good job of reducing the look of that pimple. Now there are a few more key things I do whenever I'm working with footage of people to enhance the look of their face, smooth out their skin, reduce wrinkles, make them look better overall. And I teach you how to do these things in these two videos that I highly recommend you check out next.

And if you want to know the gear that we recommend and use, check out the description below. I hope you have a lovely day and we'll see you in the next video.
