Will's Cinematographer friend Igor was in Toronto so we got the crew together to vlog a bit in the downtown core and got some broll. (Vlog S1 - Ep.5)
In this video, Will meets up with his friend Igor in downtown Toronto as well as a couple other friends to explore the downtown area during the start of a snowy winter afternoon. The goal was to have some fun, vlog a bit about the importance of meeting up with friends, and hanging out and filming/taking photos just to do it.

It is really really cold outside because it is winter in Canada but that's not gonna stop us because will and I are fired up his friend Igor is visiting from Dubai he's a world-class traveler he's a filmmaker and a few hours were heading to Toronto to go filled with him [Music] okay so I have the flawed camera setup right now that's when filming on gotta get my hat on cuz we're gonna OH wrong hat alright just gonna do a few things make sure the bags ready to go, okay we got a 24 to 70 lens, we have the 50mm lens, battery bunch of SD cards okay so I am packing lights and unpacking light because most of the day I'm gonna be on this vlogging camera oh by the way yeah I know I have my Christmas tree up I put it up in Thanksgiving Canadian Thanksgiving so since October what wasn't a huge fan but I think it's growing him anyways let's get going we are on our way to Toronto to shoot with some of our photographer and cinematographer friends and it is so freakin cold.
Will's friend Igor who I've never met in real life is in Toronto right now I'm excited to meet him because I've been to 27 countries.
Words of advice when you go on a film shoot with all your buddies and your new friends says hey you want to try out my new video road mic Pro Plus and you say yeah sure of course just keep an eye on the levels make sure you're recording audio for example because I had never used this mic before I threw it on my camera and they started vlogging with it I wasn't paying attention to if the audio is actually recording until about halfway through the day so this happened so make sure when you're growing equipment from your friends and you're out on a fun shoot day you still take a few minutes to just do a test don't make the same mistake I did because I'm super bummed that half of the footage I've recorded doesn't have any audio if you don't have a mic for vlogging this is a great mic but in high wind situations like this.
If it's super windy out you're still gonna hear about wind in your audio and depending on how strong that windows you might not even be able to hear yourself at all [Music] no matter what when you're in a creative industry it kind of app points can get stale you can get used to your own way of doing things and naturally stick to that so what made today really cool working with other creative people was we pushed each other we forward each other's lenses we show each other our shots what we're capturing asked each other to be models in their shots I loved it I feel totally refreshed I'm Way excited there is nothing better than doing what you love a coder video with other awesome photographers and cinematographers it pushes you out of your comfort zone it makes you think differently it's so refreshing and yes it was cold and it got colder throughout the day I'm pretty sure none of us could feel our faces we didn't care that it was cold because it was so much fun.
