Apply the Same Color Grade to MULTIPLE CLIPS in DaVinci Resolve - In this DaVinci Resolve tutorial Alli shows you how to apply the same color grade or effects, to multiple clips in DaVinci Resolve AND how to save color grade presets that you can use in various DaVinci Resolve projects

If you're like me, you probably have multiple clips or video projects where it would make your life much easier to just drag and drop the color masking and effect work you did on one clip onto another clip, whether it be in the same project or a different one. I'm going to show you how easy it is to do that.

On a side note, I am super pumped to share that the biggest DaVinci Resolve event of the year, ResolveCon, is happening this August 21st through the 25th, and we are going to be one of the teachers. Not only is it going to be super fun, but you have the chance to learn from the best of the best. I'm super excited about it. To find out more and sign up, you can check out the link below. Now let's hop into Resolve.

We're in Resolve's color page, and I have this talking head clip. I'm just going to turn the adjustments I made on, so we have our Alli and Will custom LUT, our color temperature, face refinement effect, a vignette, and a mask to brighten up my face.

Let's turn Clip View on, and I just want to show you this. You could click on your clip and press Command or Control + C to copy all of your adjustments, then go to a raw clip and press Command or Control + V to paste them, which is all fine and dandy if you're just working in this project. But we want to be able to save the work we've done so that we can use it in other video projects too.

So, just undo that and go back to the clip we were working on. Now, click on Gallery and select PowerGrade 1. If you can't see it, right-click and choose Add PowerGrade Album. Now right-click on your program window and choose Grab Still. Click below these numbers to create a name for it.

Let's select a raw clip, and we can just drag and drop our preset onto it. Awesome! Now let's open up a different project, open Gallery, select PowerGrade 1, and here's our preset. Drag it onto our program window, and if any of your nodes have tracking work on them, like when you use the face refinement effect, you'll need to detect the face and retrack. And there you go! That's how easy it is to save color and effect presets in Resolve.

If you want to know our favorite drive, it's this one right here that we edit all of our videos off of because it's super fast, super portable, and super tiny. Or, if you want to know any of the gear that we recommend and use on our commercial video shoots as well as our YouTube shoots, then check out the description below.

Oh, and I just released a video showing five creative masking techniques, and one of them I've never seen taught anywhere, so check that video out next to learn my masking secrets. I hope this video was helpful to you and that you have a lovely day. We'll see you in the next video.
