Maybe you have a bunch of clips that you want to individually export for your demo reel or for a client or for your youtube channel so the adobe premiere team hasn't yet created a one-click way to do that but i have found a workaround and in this video i'm going to show you exactly how to do it let's hop into premiere and check it out [Music] okay we're in premiere and i just want to mention that there is another way to batch export individual clips using project manager but it's outdated and doesn't let you export clips with effects or color correction on them which is why i'm teaching you this way instead okay so with the clips on your timeline that you want to export first you've gotta nest each of them individually and the fastest way to do that is to use the keyboard shortcut alt or option c.
If for some reason this isn't your default keyboard shortcut for nesting pop up to edit click on keyboard shortcuts in the search bar type nest and under the shortcut tab click on this space here hold down alt option on your keyboard and c and now that's set okay we'll pop onto the timeline select this first clip press alt option c this nest window will pop up and you can name this whatever you want keep in mind if you are renaming this here the name you choose will be the file name that you end up exporting i'm fine with the default name of this nest so i'll press enter and you continue to repeat this process so we'll click on the timeline again to select it right arrow on your keyboard to go to the next clip alter option c and you're getting the idea so i'll speed this part of the tutorial up cool okay so when you've nested all of your clips go to the project window select all those nested sequences right click and choose export media you can change your export settings to whatever you'd like and if you want to know the fastest and best export settings we use, check out Will's tutorial linked in the description.
Okay and now we can press q and premiere will send all of these nested sequences to media encoder to choose the location that these clips will be exported to select all of them where it says output file double-click this export folder i created works for me and now all you got to do is press play and grab yourself a coffee grab yourself a beer keep working on your edit and primer if you want as each of these clips export in the background in media encoder okay those are all done for me and here they are in my exports folder and there you go that's how to batch export individual clips in premiere and media encoder if you're a filmmaker check out our over 100 other how-to videos and gear reviews subscribe for the latest from us and we'll see you in another video.
