How to Batch Export Individual Clips in DaVinci Resolve 19 - In this video editing tutorial Alli shows you how to easily export individual clips in DaVinci Resolve!
Maybe you have a bunch of clips that you want to individually export for your demo reel, client, or YouTube channel. It's super easy to do in DaVinci Resolve.
If you're new here, I'm Alli and Will, and I release weekly DaVinci Resolve editing tutorials, as well as gear reviews. If you're into that sort of thing, subscribe to stay in the loop. Now, let's hop into Resolve and check this out.
I'm in the Edit page because I want to show you that I have everything from a clip with an effect on it to clips stacked on top of each other, some talking head with dialogue, and some B-roll clips with no audio. We'll be able to individually batch export all of these clips in just a few simple steps.
So, let's go into the Deliver page. In Render Settings, under Custom Export, click Browse to choose the location you'd like your individual clips to be saved to.
This next step is key. Where it says "Render," make sure you have "Individual Clips" selected. If you instead kept "Single Clip" selected, you'd export your project as a whole rather than each clip on its own, which defeats the whole purpose of this tutorial.
Next, under the Video tab, make sure "Export Video" is checkmarked. Change your settings if you need to. I'm keeping everything as is. Just pop into Audio, so I want to make sure "Export Audio" is checkmarked as well for those talking head clips.
Here's another important step. Go into File, and you want to make sure you have "Use Unique File Names" checkmarked. If you didn't have this checkmarked, Resolve might not export all of your clips. I also like to uncheck "Add Source Frame Count to File Name." Up here under Custom Name, you can change this. I'll type "A," and then the letter "A" will be added to the end of each of my exported clips.
Okay, there we go. Add to Render Queue and render all, and here we have each clip individually exported.
